Women use protein powders to restore muscle strength and they can also be used as a weight loss aid. Protein powders tend to have a negative image attached to them where women are concerned. The myth that you only need them if you are trying to “bulk up” has been proven time and again to be just that – a myth!
Protein powders are a fantastic way to take in extra protein in your diet.

For some of us, through choice or out of necessity, we choose not to purchase or consume a whey or casein based product. There are many of us who avoid or are allergic to dairy, and there are those of us who avoid it for ethical reasons. So, for this reason, I’ve compiled a list of the top plant-based protein powders for women.

Here are five benefits of plant-based protein:
- Low in saturated fat
- Free of the growth hormones and antibiotics found in animal proteins.
- Easy to digest.
- Better for the environment.
Two things to consider when selecting a good protein powder; TASTE, obviously, but ingredients are also really important.
So, which do I recommend?
Honestly, I Recommend all of them, they are excellent in their own way.
Try these plant-based protein powders mixed in with your oats, or added to a delicious smoothie or you can even use it in baked goodies like pancakes or cookies. Most plant-based protein powders have chocolate or vanilla flavouring so they work great in baking.
I recommend you to try a few different kinds and decide which one you like.
Which ones have you tried? And which ones are your favourites? Is there another one that you like that I have not included on this list?
